About KymmComm
Growing from a one-woman shop to a team of dedicated
professionals, KymmComm has navigated the Internet
profession since 1997. We're proud to be one of many
successful woman-owned businesses in the Vancouver,
WA and Portland, OR metro area.
Who's the Kymm in KymmComm?
My name is Kymm Nelsen. I've always worked
to make a lasting difference. For me, it's
not enough to just get a paycheck. When I use my creative
skills and technical know-how to simplify this "Web
thing" for small business owners, it feels good
to know that your business runs smoother, smarter
and in pace with the world around you. Nothing feels
better than knowing my clients can make confident
decisions about how the Web can grow their businesses.
That's the kind of difference that really empowers
you to move forward.
I'm hungry to create RESULTS for my clients. I solve problems. From self-taught HTML
expert to a Certified Macromedia/Adobe trainer and CIW Professional
(see my credentials and
a client list), I have continued to grow my skills to encompass state of the art communication sciences. I am a Certified NLP and Time Line Therapy™ Trainer and Master Hypnotherapist and Trainer. I continually expand my knowledge of marketing, small business development, and
personal and professional growth.
I have applied this
learning to my own business and to assist my clients,
who have seen an improvement in their personal goal
setting, business development, and marketing clarity.
As a small business owner, I know how hard it is
to keep up with everything while you keep your business
running at the same time. You count on trusted advisors
to sift through all of the noise and let you know
what's most important. It's great knowing
that my skills will help you to be more profitable,
less confused and on target with your business.
My training experience adds extra benefit
because my clients can actually understand what I'm
saying when we talk technology. Years of
teaching these topics to beginners and experts, as well as my expert training in communications, have
shown me how to start at square one (where ever that
is for you) and move through, step by step, until
you get your hands around it. I know how to ask questions and explain
complex concepts so that they sound simple.
Hundreds of successful students and clients confirm
that my approach works. While we develop your website and business strategies, or work on your personal goals, you can ask
questions and know that they'll be answered clearly,
simply, and completely. You'll love it and I love
clearing the confusion away.
I create new ways to share my knowledge so
that you can decide for yourself what level of help
you need with your business and website.
A perfect example of this is a two-day workshop I
designed called From Concept to Click. This workshop
is a hands-on class where students (most of them business
owners like you) join in a group project to plan,
design and build a website from beginning to end.
Another class, 10 Ways to Drive Online Business, helps
business owners understand what it means to have a
website and how it might work for you. As small business
owners reveal new challenges with trying to keep up
with this high-tech world, I mentor them through the
confusion and on to the success.
Over the years, I've found joy in long-term
relationships with my clients. Building a
business is an organic process with its own rhythms
that match your lifestyle and your goals. I enjoy
being part of the transformations you experience as
your business grows. Sometimes clients call or drop
me an email to catch up on news, ask about a new gadget
or software tool, or to say that they're ready to
take the leap into ecommerce. Whatever it is, they
know that I care about who they are, their dreams
and how they're going to make them come true. Our
work together creates a special community of support
that makes a lasting difference in our lives.
This website is here for you, to help you understand
what services we provide
and how our 5 Step
Fool-Proof Web Design Process works.
I trust that you'll find answers to your questions
and that you'll let me know if we can offer another
piece that will make this "Web thing" easier.
